70,000 Lives Can Be Changed Next Week By You

Children-getting-water3Dear Friend,

I bought a bottle of drinking water at the gas station the other day, and was amazed at the choices—plain water, sparkling water, water from Fiji, from France, from Switzerland . . . flavored water, and even “Smart Water”! Billions of dollars are spent annually on bottled water. We can also turn the tap at home any time and safely drink what pours out.

In other parts of the world, almost a BILLION PEOPLE draw drinking water from polluted ponds or slow moving streams that contain human waste, people bathe, wash clothes, and animals live.

Finding any water is a daily life and death struggle.  Do they drink it and risk sickness and even death, or don’t drink knowing death could come today?

  • Over 4,000 children die every day from water related illnesses.
  • 3.4 MILLION people die each year from a water related disease.
  • Waterborn illnesses such as cholera, typhoid, and parasites are easily preventable with water purification.

Drilling wells is not the perfect answer. Wells can break, often only work in rainy seasons, and shallow well water can still be dangerous. Thugs also take control and demand payment for well access.

We are so thrilled to report that we have found a solution to this problem!
It is the LifeStraw, a simple non-electrical, personal-use water filtration system that easily purifies even the most polluted water. They are easy to use and last a year or more!

Equipped with the LifeStraw, families have a safe, clean water supply and are protected from life-threatening illnesses.

At the end of April, we return to Ethiopia to a new location called Hosanna. The Hebrew definition of the term hosannais “salvation.” We are so excited to provide immediate clean water access and share the Living Water of Yeshua with the thirsty! (more…)

As it states in James 5:15 (NIV), “And the prayer offered up in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.” The prayer room is a united front of Believers in Yeshua (Jesus). The sick are becoming well! Sinners are being forgiven! We have continued to see blind eyes and deaf ears opened.

More miracles are in store for the final clinic days. Our team is believing in faith for the salvation of the Beta Avraham and the Kechene community. (more…)

It’s hard to express the  level of our joy following the conclusion of this Jewish Voice outreach. As we approach the lunch hour in Churachandpur, our Jewish Voice team is busy packing and readying their personal luggage for our long departure back home. We will first drive nearly two hours back to Imphal through the beautiful and lush hills of Manipur. We will pass through village after village with unending harvest-ready rice fields in between. This afternoon we fly from Imphal back to Delhi, followed by the final fight tomorrow night back to the United States.

We enjoyed a powerful morning together  in our closing Shabbat service. We enjoyed a wonderful time of Messianic praise and worship lead by Israel and Ronna. The worship was followed by nearly a full hour of testimonies and stories from the outreach week. Doctors, prayer warriors, line flow managers, administers . . . all wanting to tell of the great things they experienced this week in their respective outreach roles. It was an amazing time of celebration. (more…)

Director of Global Outreach for Jewish Voice

This is our third Jewish Voice medical outreach to the Bnei Menashe Jewish community of Manipur. We are situated in far eastern India, near Burma and Bangladesh. Our Jewish Voice team of 42 participants (staff, medical professionals, and volunteers) arrived just over 50 hours ago. The journey here has been immensely challenging, but full of the Lord’s miraculous provision.

There is much mystery surrounding our target audience here in Manipur, the Bnei Menashe community. This Jewish community is considered by many to be one of the Lost Tribes of Israel and is the focus of much international research and publication. In fact, rabbis from Israel have been coming to this humble region for more than 30 years with the goal of imparting traditional rabbinic Judaism to the Bnei Menashe.

How do we know that these people are actually of Israelite origin? Well, there are several factors that suggest strongly that the claims are indeed true. The first clue lies within the name of the Mizo and Kuki tribal ancestor “Manmaseh” (which is phonetically close to the name Manasseh, one of the tribes of Israel). (more…)

This year Jewish Voice decided to do a back-to-back  medical outreach to both Woliso and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, bringing the Lost Tribes of Israel located in these remote areas free medical, dental, and eye clinics.

The results of what God did during our medical outreach to Addis Ababa were staggering. Praise God with us at the amazing miracles He performed through the JVMI staff and volunteers.
