Terry from Colorado Springs asks via email, “What’s the best way for me to pray for my daughter and minister to her? She was once a Believer in Yeshua, but she has converted to Reformed Judaism.” Messianic Rabbi Jack Zimmerman answers this webcast viewer’s heartfelt question during the July 22, 2010 interactive Jewish Voice webcast.
Terry, in your message you mentioned that your daughter was a Spirit-filled Christian, which means she is someone who in every way wanted to have a relationship with Yeshua.
I am wondering if one of the reasons why she went into Reformed Judaism is that she somehow felt that as a Gentile she was less than or second class and wanted to be part of the Chosen.
In reading the Scriptures to her, you might want to consider Romans 4, because it drives home the point that whether you are Jew or Gentile, as long as you are a Believer in Yeshua, you are equal covenant partners. You are both already Abraham’s children. You are both, in a sense, equally chosen.
