By Rabbi Jack Zimmerman,
Jewish Voice Staff Evangelist
To use you in the way that He wants to, God may very well send you to places you never thought you would go before to do things you never even imagined doing before.
You might say, “Lord, here am I!” You figure God is going to take you along that same trail, that same path, and everything is going to be great. But He turns your world upside down. Will you be willing? Will you be ready? Will you try and resist, as some people do?
Allow the Lord to take you out of your comfort zone. Do not limit yourself. Do not worry about what people may think or what the consequences might be, because if God is the one who is calling you, then He is the one who is in control, not you.
God doesn’t need to send us to a place where we are comfortable. We will send ourselves there!
But if you are really asking God to send you, then you are really asking God to send you out of your comfort zone. That’s when great things can happen.
