It’s been fun times of multitudinous proportions thus far in Montevideo, Uruguay.

Team members arrived Saturday and were greeted by our Jewish Voice advance team with traditional South American finger food—empanadas and sugar-infused (not syrup riddled) Pepsi—followed by orientation, which began with worship led by Daniel, Davene, and our youngest musicians, Aaron and Zach (as seen in the photo to the right).

It’s been go! go! go! ever since. Resting is not an option until after the trip, so we are spending ourselves for the Lord and loving it. 🙂

In addition to orientation, team members were trained in outreach and intercessory prayer techniques so that they  would be ready to go on Sunday, filling in their respective roles to contribute to the success of the Messianic Hear O’ Israel! Festival of Jewish Music and Dance.

Sunday, August 15, 2010, we started the day with praise and worship and got right into outreach mode, hitting the streets for flyer distributions while the prayer warriors had us covered in prayer for spiritual battle.

Sunday night was an energized time of praise and worship at the Mision Vida par la Naciones church here in Montevideo, the largest evangelical church in the city, led by pastor Jorge Marques, who is a friend to and lover of Israel. He welcomed Jewish Voice’s Jonathan Bernis to speak at the church.

Hear is a photo slideshow displaying the excitement,  joy, and richness of the praise and worship events and Messianic Rabbi Jonathan Bernis’ powerful personal testimony and Gospel message.
