Do Pastors Get Burn Out?

Ready to be shocked beyond belief? I’m about to tell you some things you’re not going to enjoy hearing, but ignoring the problem won’t make it go away.

Did you know that…

  • 1,500 pastors leave the ministry each year.
  • 4,000 new churches begin every year, but more than 7,000 churches close.
  • 50% of pastors are so discouraged that they would leave the ministry if they could, but they have no other way of making a living.
  • About 75% of pastors go through a period of such great stress that they consider leaving the ministry, and nearly 40% actually do.

As a pastor, I can relate. And I can tell you why this is happening.

Repeatedly dealing with problems among congregants is not only physically draining, but it’s one of the quickest paths to pastor burn-out. And for many of us pastors, it puts us in the proverbial catch-22 situation: We know we need a Sunday off from time to time to re-energize our batteries, but then, who can we find to fill the pulpit that morning without our worrying whether we’ll have to do some damage control the next week for something the person said?

Sound familiar?  Solving this problem isn’t as tough as you might think.

Jewish Voice Ministries International has a Church Relations Department specifically designed to help pastors in situations like these. When you need a well-deserved break, you can call us with the confidence in knowing that one of our doctrinally solid speakers will fill your pulpit and preach the truth of the Word of God. It really is that simple.

Here’s just a partial list of our topics. The rest is up to you, so let us know how we can help!

It is the last days, the men at the top, are the top targets…and the rate of ‘quiting’ is still the same, almost 100% be it to burn out, sin, or aging, very few pastors die in the pulpit.
Let us press on in Evangelism, and become a Jew to the Jew to win the Jew (learn the heart of the people and the most effective ways to reach them empowered in the love of Messiah through the Rosh HaKodesh/Holy Spirit), and do everwhat is needed to others too, just not to take the part of their beliefs that is against the Messiah to win them.
and the darkness is greater then ever, yet the light shines the brightest.
The need is evangelism..not condemning the President, the bible says to give honor to honor is due. America bowed again, as it did under electing watch my lips if they move I told the truth…president slick bill, elected who they wanted more than truth. Our president Obama wasnt elected by the liberals who stand with the ACLU and secular humanism, against the bible and prayer in schools, and in favor of homosexuality. He was elected by the extra votes of ‘Christians’ whose pastors didnt have the courage to speak up against his anti-Israel, pro muslim (which he is for life even if considered an infadel, because as Isalm says he was born to a muslim father, and pro black liberation
‘theology’. Now we have to go with what we have got.
The truth it there is checks and balances in the USA, and the state department is standing up to religious persecution around the world, they stood up to Avi, a group of anti-missionaries in Israel, who claim to not fight the missionaries and be non violent because they have never been convicted in Israel. And want funding to come to America to fight the ‘missionaries’.
As we see the darkness darken let us shine the brighter.
and deligate authority…we can only be one place at a time…to find true people of God, faithful and loyal, as Paul did, trained and honored to go in his stead.

Another reason for the downfall and future downfalls of pastors, ministers and others in pulpit is how they have been condemning President Obama who inherited a mess that was left to him by the former President Bush who got accomlates from the most of the church leaders despite the fact that Israel was put in even more danger because of Bush’s foreign policies that empowered Iran. I hope that instead of preaching hate and disrepect that the church leaders will adhere to 1st Timothy 2:1-8 and 1st John 4:7-8. THE CHURCH LEADERSHIP HAVE BEEN PUSHING PEOPLE AWAY FROM THE CHURCH NOT TOWARDS IT ESPECIALLY IN THE SOUTHERN AND MOUNTAINOUS REGIONS OF THE USA WHERE MOST OF THE CHURCHES ARE FILLED WITH BIGOTS AND HATER WHO SAY THAT THEY LOVE GOD BUT IT IS NOT BACKED UP WITH ACTION. That is why they will be surprise when the Lord tells them That I never you in the day of Judgment.
